Kea’iwa Heiau
Kea’iwa Heiau, oil on wood panel, 18×24

The Kea’iwa Heiau was deserted except for a kumu who was instructing a student in the spiritual meaning of an Hawaiian chant. I chose to paint on a textured surface to portray the veils of time that obscure the history of the place.
