Kawainui Marsh
Kawainui Marsh

Mount Olomana (which means divided hill) is reflected at dawn here in Kawainui Marsh. Kawainui means the great water and was the site of sophisticated early Hawaiian hydro-engineering to maximize food production, first fishing and later taro crops. This location is now home to many different native birds.
